About the Role

Deloitte is looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Core Business Operations (CBO) team within the GPS practice. This role provides the opportunity to make an immediate impact by helping clients solve critical business challenges, focusing on system requirements, technical leadership, and integration efforts. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring the technical integrity of projects. You will play a key role in integrating new plans and systems into ongoing operations while guiding the technical development of systems.

What You'll Do

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Analyze system requirements, user documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities, guiding users in formulating requirements and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for system integration, ensuring designs align with the overall system requirements.
  • Incorporate new plans and designs into ongoing operations, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Develop technical documentation such as system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guide the system development and implementation through system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interact with government stakeholders regarding technical considerations, problems, or conflicts.
  • Be ultimately responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area.

Deloitte’s GPS practice serves a wide range of federal, state, and local government clients as well as public higher education institutions. With over 15,000 professionals, the team brings a fresh perspective to clients, helping them anticipate disruption and transform their operations. The Application Modernization and Innovation offering focuses on guiding clients through complex technology challenges, including large-scale software applications, system integrations, and technology enablement. The goal is to provide operational value, modernized mission solutions, and enhanced technology innovation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • 1+ year of experience with system requirements gathering.
  • 1+ year of experience with IT troubleshooting.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of experience with PeopleSoft.
  • Experience with SQL and ITSM (e.g., JIRA Service Desk).
  • Experience with systems engineering.

Compensation

The disclosed compensation range for this role is $61,120 to $91,680, based on factors such as experience, training, and business needs. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to individual and organizational performance.
