Job Overview

SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) business unit is seeking Systems Engineers to provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services. The position will support acquisition and technical activities for digital modernization programs, focusing on cloud, cyber, AI/ML, data, and software solutions. The role involves creating and adopting innovative IT solutions, transitioning legacy systems, and working with government and industry tools to modernize and optimize technical environments. The successful candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the system life cycle and collaborate with government teams to ensure the technical integrity of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Engineering Documentation:
    • Contribute to the development of key systems engineering documents including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • System Requirements Management:
    • Manage system and derived requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (e.g., DoDAF, Service-oriented Architecture).
    • Assist in allocating system requirements to individual hardware, software, and personnel components.
  • Cross-discipline Coordination:
    • Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
  • Technical Analysis:
    • Analyze technical alternatives and make preliminary recommendations for projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of experience, Master's degree with 16+ years of experience, or PhD/JD with 15+ years of experience in systems engineering.

Desired:

  • Experience in systems engineering documentation and DoDAF or Service-oriented Architecture principles.
  • Proven ability to manage requirements and coordinate across disciplines.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is between $120,001 - $160,000, based on experience and other factors.
