Job Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking highly talented Cloud Solutions Architects to support its growing Professional Services team. You will work with U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to help implement innovative cloud computing solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud architecture, solving technical problems, and designing solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will engage in a range of projects, collaborating with AWS teams to provide customer-centric solutions and drive innovation. This role requires the ability to influence the design of cloud solutions while working on projects with security-focused requirements. You must have a current TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of cloud solutions tailored for U.S. Intelligence Community customers. You will help to solve complex technical problems and drive successful outcomes.
• Customer Engagement: Work closely with Intelligence Community customers, educating them, training them, and building custom cloud solutions that meet their specific needs.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work with cross-functional teams at AWS to deliver the best solution and influence product/service feature innovation based on customer feedback.
• Technical Leadership: Participate in deep-dive education and design exercises, using AWS cloud services to create innovative, scalable, and secure solutions for government customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting of distributed applications or relevant educational background.
  • 1+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
• Education:
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Security Clearance:
  • TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience with AWS architecture, deployment, and operation.
  • Prior experience in migrating legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience managing highly available data center operations, including server hardware, storage, and networking.
• Security Compliance:
  • Familiarity with federal government security standards (ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Sales/Consulting:
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Pay: The base pay ranges from $118,200/year to $204,300/year, depending on the geographic location and candidate's experience.
