Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented and driven Cloud Computing Consultants to join our growing Professional Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside top-tier engineers and collaborate with the U.S. Intelligence Community agencies to deliver innovative cloud computing solutions. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize AWS cloud architectures, while helping clients leverage cloud technologies to address their most challenging problems.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, deep understanding of cloud solutions, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to launch successful projects. A key aspect of this role is working with sensitive data, which requires a strong commitment to security best practices for applications, servers, and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Work directly with Intelligence Community (IC) customers, assisting them in designing and implementing AWS-based cloud solutions. Lead customer meetings and presentations, facilitating discussions around architecture, integration, and security.
  • Cloud Solution Design: Provide consultation and leadership in architecting large-scale cloud computing solutions that meet the unique needs of the IC community.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in AWS technologies, ensuring that cloud infrastructure solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
  • Consulting & Leadership: Provide consultative guidance to clients on best practices, integration approaches, and cloud deployment strategies. Lead technical discussions and educate customers about AWS cloud capabilities.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with AWS developments and emerging technologies. Participate in deep-dive architecture design sessions to enhance your technical expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting on distributed applications or equivalent education/experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
  • Technical degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or similar roles.
  • Professional experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience with Federal Government security requirements (ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • Experience with data center operations including responsibility for networking, server hardware, and storage.
